Dec 21, 2016 · Regular DDR3 aren't superceded by DDR3L but offered as an alternative and required by certain 4th gen Intel processors (mostly notebook processors) due to voltage and power consumption. DDR3L has dual voltage output at 1.5v and 1.35v where regular DDR3 is 1.5 or 1.65v (sometimes 1.6v as well).

Dec 31, 2009 · Recently my motherboard died, i'm now wondering whether I should upgrade to a board that uses DDR3 or get another DDR2 and use my old RAM with it. I want to overclock my Q8400 to something pretty decent and when overclocking my E6550 my RAM held me back. Haven't had a chance to use my Q8400 because the board died the same day i got it.

Jun 28, 2012 · just upgraded my spare rig from ddr3 platform to a i5 14400 and an gigabyte b760 32gb ddr4 ram..im using my old gtx680 and the vga red light is on and i cant even get it into boot the 680 works on the ddr3 rig. is it to old for this platform? tried 3 different types of cables and still no signal im lost for what to try next.

Feb 22, 2004 · I'm currently running 32GB (16 x 2) of Crucial Ballistix DDR4-3600 CL16 in my 5900X setup. I need more RAM to run my VM's. Is the best way to get a new kit of 64GB? The cheapest I can find is Patriot Steel Viper DDR4-3600 CL20 Or, find another 32GB DDR4-3600 CL16 (seems very rare and expensive now).
