Metro Denver communities are opening cold weather shelters and warming centers ahead of this weekend’s winter weather, which is forecast to drop up to 5 inches of snow on the city.
Breezy and cool for Thursday, and much warmer for Friday with highs near 50 degrees. A cold front for the weekend brings in temperatures in the 20s with snow.
Volunteers from Janet’s Kitchen have come together every Sunday in Denver to bring hot meals to community members when the weather turns dangerously cold.
