Metro Denver communities are opening cold weather shelters and warming centers ahead of this weekend’s winter weather, which is forecast to drop up to 5 inches of snow on the city.
Highs will reach the upper 40s in Denver Friday before temperatures plunge back into the 20s as another round of snow arrives to the area and stays with us for much of the weekend.
Breezy and cool for Thursday, and much warmer for Friday with highs near 50 degrees. A cold front for the weekend brings in temperatures in the 20s with snow.
