Glasgow residents will receive a "loud siren" on the their phones to warn of Storm Eowyn. On Friday, the city is set to face major disruption with winds expected to reach nearly 90mph.
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde has announced all non-essential outpatient appointments and routine hospital appointments will be cancelled on Friday (January 24) due to Storm Eowyn.
Storm Eowyn could be one for the history books as it is set to be one of the worst to hit the country since Cyclone Friedhelm - otherwise known as Hurricane Bawbag to us Glaswegians.
