The guided Fossil Walk at Ulladulla, New South Wales South Coast (a 3.5 hours drive south from Sydney), is organised by the not-for-profit Gondwana Coast Fossil Walk Inc, a group of enthusiastic volunteers (including myself), very keen to share the rich geological heritage of the Shoalhaven area and the 270 million year old marine fossils. These fossils are featured in the Guided Walk on the horizontal rock platforms of the Ulladulla Harbour. Costs are $10 /adult; $5/child and $25/family. The Walk is acknowledged as the only accessible guided Fossil Walk in Australia. It is an extremely interesting, easy 2 hour walk and participants need to wear closed-in shoes (eg sneakers) with grip soles as the Walk is conducted at low tide and some rocks may be wet. Bookings can be made through the website; or through the Ulladulla Visitors Centre on +61 (0)2 44448820; or in person through the Fossil House Museum, 275 Green St, Ulladulla, NSW 2539, open Monday to Saturday 10 am to 3 pm. In October 2016, the Gondwana Coast Fossil Walk Inc group, entered "Ulladulla's Geotourism Attractions" of the Fossil Walk, the Fossil House Museum and the Brodie Park Time Walk and won First Prize, the Gold Award, in the 2016 New South Wales government "Best South Coast Tourism Attraction Award".
