2008年2月12日 · To the defense of people with wind chimes you must have really bad walls/windows if this is truly keeping you up. BUT, people in Chicago (aka The Windy City) shouldn't be allowed to buy them! It seems as though the subtle tones of them on a hot summer evening would be soothing so say someone who doesn't experience wind often.

2020年1月5日 · The problem with wind chimes in The Villages is that the covenant noise rule only prohibits noise that exceeds a "moderate level" at certain times, which I suppose wind chimes don't. So, someone can hang up wind chimes and force as many as 3 or 4 neighbors to listen to them 24/7, even when the homeowner is gone for 3 or 4 months.

2017年2月12日 · I like wind chimes. To me the noise is soothing but those are the high quality wind chimes. The person is not an ***** until they refuse to take them down at night when ask. I personally want to get myself a set but I would try to remember to take them down at night for curiosity of people who want to sleep and can not stand them.

2023年10月2日 · They should ban flag poles and wind chimes entirely. Nothing worst then a whipping flag or obnoxious wind chime. How do you feel about, noisy golf carts, smoking , barking dogs, loud parties, lawn mowers at 0700, renters, really bad music at the square, bad drivers.

2024年12月2日 · OP, I think your concern is misguided. Dogs are not the only source of noise in The Villages. Look out for traffic noise, swimming pool pumps, waterfalls, pickle ball courts, landscape equipment, and my particular pet peeve, wind chimes. Buying a non-courtyard house offers very little protection from these noises.

2021年9月14日 · Wind chimes. They have moved. I had a neighbor and someone gave him wind chimes. To be honest, they never bothered me and I never said anything about them. Not sure if someone else complained or not. He put rubber bands around the tubes so he had a silent wind chime. I do not claim to be perfect. I do the best I can. Code of good conduct.
