2015年5月18日 · P38 Holster Identification. I just bought a all matching non-import marked Spreewerke P38 that came with a holster and an extra magazine. I'm having some difficulty identifying the holster. It's a black pigskin softshell without any markings. As you can see from the pictures, it has a significant amount of wear to it.

2012年9月15日 · The holster is in very nice condition w/only a couple of small cracks. All leather straps in nice condition, both inner and outer. I believe that this gun was made in April of '45, the last month of production before the Walther plant was captured by the Allies. 1945 was, understandably, the lowest production year for the P38.

Anyway was wondering if I could get some help with identifying the maker of the holster. Holster is pebbled, which if memory serves me there were not many of these made?

And no, it was not taken from a dead German officer (saw that on an earlier post ), but was acquired and/or purchased by Grandpa Joe while he was a member of the Scientific Observer mission sent over to benefit from German advances in technology.

2013年7月9日 · So it looks like yours was around the 15,000 P-38 produced in 1943 at the Walther plant. The fact that the 5221 serial number is on the major parts shown in the photos indicates it wasn’t pieced together in the field. So it is probably in the same configuration as when it rolled off the assembly line.

It came with a black leather "soft shell" holster with strap ends on back. The holster is thicker leather than later models. No hooks, though, to attach to a shoulder belt or waist belt. The pistol is a Walther and was made in 1964.
