May 14, 2019 · Saw a number of different chip collection setups for a planer. Very simple for a DeWalt 735. You need (preferably) a 4 inch hose from the planer to an input connector on top of a box or, possibly, a nice sized trash barrel. What you do need is an exit for the pressurized air.

The Ridgid planer is significantly less than the Dewalt planer. ($781.00) Once I have a planer I will want it on some mobile stand. I am curious what others have done here.

The planer lets me clean up glued panels that fit. Typical home planers are 12 or 13 inches wide. The planer cleans up the bandsaw blade marks from re-sawn boards that come off the bandsaw.

Nov 11, 2020 · The DeWalt 734 is actually comparable to the Ridgid. I have had the DW734 for years and I like it. My DW734 gives me a glass smooth finish. It's usually in stock at home depot too. The 735 is a step up, mostly because of two speeds and a longer main bed. I didn't feel like paying $250 more at the time for the 735.
