What’s the best way to emulate retro games nowadays?
What I'm looking for is to use my PC to emulate retro games, mostly NES, SNES, GBA, PSX, PS2, and MAME/Arcade. I'd like to keep the Anbernic for shorter games and use the PC to both play beloved games I used to play back then and to explore new games/systems I didn't try yet.

Sadly, both retro-inspired indies, and the original devs themselves, seem to have forgotten that old games were never intended to be viewed pixel-perfect. Manuals giving way more info than they needed to - they were essentially worldbuilding novels or even full guides at times, like with Zelda 1's map or Earthbound's player guide.

I also think that a retro game is more easily accessible to play than a modern game that may have difficult controls and a complex storyline.
