Encapsulate an old asbestos: Asbestos should not be disturbed.....take up and re glue down is considered disturbing the material. 2 inches of concrete is more than enough,but if the tiles are loose under neath it ,a new problem is being created.

2013年3月2日 · Yes, VCT goes over a secure existing VCT quite well. Strip the wax/finish first AND THEN sand the existing well. Remove any loose tiles and either replace them or float it with patch. With all the finish removed and the floor cleaned thoroughly a good quality patch will bond well over any cracks, voids or imperfections that need minor patch.

2011年3月2日 · Cut the plywood to the exact size of 4 tiles plus grout lines. Screwed it in with trim head screws where the plywood stuck past the tile (hard to explain). Screwed durock to it and stuck tile to it. Then used color matched caulk instead of grout for the perimeter of the four tiles.

Tannin staining on porcelain tile | Contractor Talk - Professional ...
2015年4月23日 · The edges of the tiles are stained. We've cleaned them with water, cleaned them with an eco-green cleaner, then stepped up to an acid based cleaner, but an oily stain slowly creeps back up around the edges of the tiles. I'm sure it's tannins from the redwood. Has anyone run into this? Any advise or experience much appreciated.
