2024年9月29日 · There is no theoretical limit to the size of a logic puzzle, but beyond a certain number of variables, you veer into "work" territory, either because using a grid becomes unwieldy, or because solving requires too much comparison of the type "the remaining possibilities for X are not valid for Y therefore X does not equal Y", which becomes harder with more variables.

The solution quote has 120 characters, but after removing spaces and the period, it is 96 characters. Clearly one letter goes into each white cell in the grid. The clues for the puzzle are the exact letters in the final solution, they are simply scrambled.

2022年7月28日 · I'm not sure if that means some 10k per size level or not. I would not be surprised if the smaller grid sizes have more unique puzzles than the larger ones, since they could potentially create several unique 3x4 puzzles out of subsets of the categories in a 4x7 puzzle.

If I bought another of the books, I'd by the large print - the grid is so tiny. If only there were more logic puzzle books and magazines on the market. Sudoku seems to have taken over.

Also it’s unclear once a hint is provided how do you stop the flashing box? Quite distracting.
