I contacted the surgery who advised I need yag laser on both eyes . I’m due to have this done later this month . I’m in the UK
Blurred vision and shadows after lens replacement
2016年4月25日 · i had lens replacement surgery a week ago. Before surgery my distance vision was very good but I couldn't read a thing without glasses. Since surgery I can read the smallest of print but can't see further than a couple of metres before everything goes out of focus. I also have a shadow at the corner of both eyes so feel like I'm wearing blinkers.
Ongoing problems 2 years after lens replacement surgery
Hi.. i had lens replacement surgery 2 years ago in Thailand and am still experiencing some major problems. I am originally from the UK but have lived in Thailand for the past 29 years. I am now 49 years old and had the surgery May 2017. My eye sight was always quite good but started to get worse as i turned 40 years of age.

2016年10月9日 · If you are having problems with the lens and find it difficult to drive at night, you might consider a lens replacement. As you say, it does carry risks (as with any surgery) but also has the potential to resolve the problems you are experiencing. A monofocal lens is the time-tested workhorse of cataract surgery.

2021年10月19日 · There are top surgeons who told me about it and some of them even stay away because I'm rather young with high visual demands related to my work and 20/20 if corrected with glasses. 5-6 weeks after the surgery the capsular bag has shrinked completely. The artifical lens is much smaller than the natural lens therefore the bag shrinks.

2008年6月7日 · Five days ago I had phacoemulsification cataract removal/lens implant surgery on my right eye. Currently I'm experiencing the peripheral flickering/dazzling light sensation you described. Although I find it irritating, my wife reminds me the same thing occurred when I had this surgery on my left eye 11 months ago.

Listen to your Dr. Just take it easy. I had lens replacement for both eyes. A couple months later had a detached retina in one eye. Something to be careful with and aware of the risk after cataract surgery. Had to have surgery for the detached retina which recovery was miserable.

2016年6月2日 · It's been 2years since lens replacement. I've tried acupuncture and naturopath diet plus supplements over the last 2 years and no improvement. My lens was the fixed focal length. I had the lens replacement, as suggested by my Glaucoma specialist, as I had very weak vision. I don't know what else to try. Has anyone got any suggestions, thanks.
Experience after monovision with monofocus cataract surgery

The surgeon originally recommended Alcon Vivity, which is a new type of EDOF, which claims to improve, or completely eradicate many of the side-effects of earlier generation EDOF's.
