2008年2月19日 · I like about a 15 - 16 foot length. It is large enough to build a hasty harness, drag a body / victim, secure someone to a back-board, and do whatever else you woul want to do with webbing - but not long enough to be "too long"

NFPA 1983 is designed to be used as a guide for manufacturers for making and testing "NFPA compliant" sewn harnesses. NFPA 1983 does not, in any way, approve or reference "home made" or emergency harnesses.

2012年12月23日 · Every firefighter should carry a long piece of webbing long enough to make a hasty harness around themselves with gear on. For some this will be the 25' and for some it will need to be longer. Mine is pre-tied with a water knot. I also carry a short 5' piece for tying off hose to a rail, etc. It stays untied.

2003年2月11日 · I carry a 30' length. Never had a problem with having too much webbing available, it's easy enough to control the excess. 30' allows me to raise and lower tools from roof on most of buildings in my area. Making a good "hasty harness" for RIT requires over 20' the way we were taught.
