May 17, 2022 · Finally I tried something I hadn't seen suggested before: open oculus software on desktop with headset disconnected, and remove the device. Then power on headset and disable / re enable air link. Then add the headset in oculus software again, complete with new pairing code from the headset. Now games launch in VR mode.
