Not getting the 'Units' tab - FreeCAD Forum
2018年7月21日 · Is there a problem with some users which are not getting the 'Units' tab showing up? A user should do the following: - Click on the 'Edit' tab. - Click on 'Preferences'. - Click on the 'Units' tab? It seems that there's a problem with some users, even after installing FreeCAD 0.17, that the 'Units' tab is not showing up.

2021年1月11日 · You have first to create 3D drawings and then import them into TechDraw which makes very good 2D drawings out of 3D objects. You can trick FreeCAD to do very good 2D drawings, by making 2D sketeches in 3D and importing them into TechDraw. Today, when doing simple 2D drawings, I use LibreOffice Draw, which is the best 2D drawing program I found.

2024年1月13日 · Yesterday I downloaded 0.22 36480, which was flagged as a virus with a loud beep; the system (Microsoft, I assume) said the file was in quarantine and would be investigated within a few hours. Nothing new today. After retrying both the new and old versions, Task Manager says I have six FreeCAD processes running--four 0.22 36480 and two 0.21.

Sketcher is also strictly a 2d object in 3d space, where as Draft objects have 3d capability, e.g. a Draft wire can be on the XY working plane and yet contain some points that have a different z value and hence come out of the page towards you.

2024年6月18日 · Here is another idea for comparing 2 objects. Instead of decimating the original, make a duplicate of it first, and then decimate the duplicate. (Duplicates can be made from the edit menu.) Now you still have both objects. Select one and make it invisible. Then select both and with both select press the spacebar.
