Do crack the door and open a downstairs window to pull the air through the house. If you let it just sit and run, it won't cool as effectively.

I have a Newair portable evaporative cooler that I purchased a couple of years ago from Home Depot online. It helps cool and is not loud. It sounds like a quiet fan. I've been using it in the living room until I get my swamp cooler turned on (today). During the heat of the day (under the living room skylights) it hasn't helped a lot.

Better yet, most of them are coming from south FL where it's slightly more humid. Seems like people are using them in garages, patios, lanais, sun rooms, etc.

So, you're talking about putting an evaporative cooler in an enclosed room, with very little dry air entering and very little humid air leaving. 2023年1月28日 · The one for your heater will not work. I have one installed where the switch that turned on and off my swamp cooler was. My parents also have one installed. Do a Google search for a evaporative cooler thermostat. I know Dial and Master Cool make them. They wire up with 110 running thru them.
