That said, this first picture is the Remington stock that I am going to install pillars in. I have been a long time wanting to do this, just to scared of screwing up a beautiful piece of walnut.

The bullet went through the floor, and angled down and out through both the upper A arm and the front bumper. Cover is good, heavy cover is better.

BTW, forgot to mention that the proof mark is the one used pre 1893 so it is older than that but hard to say how much older, the other mark, the star above an R or at least it looks like an R in the picture is the mark of the controller of proof at the Leige proof house but I haven't any information on controller's marks that pre date 1910.
