2023年8月31日 · Other Roman authors heavily recycled the Greek myths of Zeus in forming their own portrait of Jupiter. We find this kind of repurposing in the works of Horace (65–8 BCE), Ovid (43 BCE–17/18 CE), one or both Senecas (54 BCE–39 CE and 4 BCE–65 CE), and Statius (ca. 45/50–ca. 96 CE), among others.
