2020年11月29日 · Lightroom Classic runs fine, but it spikes the CPU whenever you switch between photos. Also, even with small raw files, when you zoom in and pan around the image, the image freezes every time you move it. “Normal” Lightroom (non-classic) runs a lot smoother. As does iPad Lightroom, if you install it with the ipa file.

2023年6月30日 · 16GB/1TB should be sufficient for what you describe. We disagree. IMO 16 GB would be a seriously wrong choice. 24 GB is an absolute minimum, and only a choice because someone wants to spend less and compromise with the lower end, lighter MBA. 32 GB (or better 64 GB) will allow less constrained future operation.

Should I be concerned? I only have 11 safari tabs open. Nothing else really running in the background other than music.

2022年7月3日 · On the M2 Air the 256GB SSD is around 50% slower than the 512GB SSD, but remember that on the M1 Air the 256GB SSD is around 25% slower than the 512GB SSD. Nothing wrong with saving money, its not like the M1 Air is a bad computer and you may prefer the wedge design. Spend the money you saved upgrading the RAM.

2020年11月17日 · Probably M1 gets better HW acceleration for (de)compressing memory pages too. Plus M1 doesn’t need to copy data back and forth between system memory and GPU memory. There are many other variables involved. For the tests I’ve seen so far 8GB M1 often easily outperforms 16-32GB Intel systems.
