Jul 22, 2011 · Re: Need FRP Adhesive Suggestions We've done tons of FRP in restaurant kitchens and only use Liquid Nails FRP in the buckets. Apply it to the substrate with a disposable notch trowel. You'll need to fasten it to keep in in place until the glue sets up.

Sep 8, 2008 · Re: Type of wallboard under FRP panel??? We used to do a lot of renovations for restaurant kitchens. We used 1/2" pressure treated plywood to 48" as an underlayment. Be sure to use troweled-on Liquid Nails to adhere the FRP. It comes in 3-gallon buckets. Don't try to get away with just spreading a wavy bead of glue with a caulk gun.

Nov 20, 2008 · Install with trowel-on liquid nails (not the caulk tubes). Wear disposable gloves and buy several inexpensive notch trowels. It may help to apply with a big putty knife and then trowel. Pin in place with a t-head 16ga finish nailer. Go back after the glue is dry, set the nails, and touch up holes with white silicone (assuming it is white FRP).

Mar 8, 2008 · Really no need to go into the studs. Good chance that your walls are doubled up 5/8" rock anyways. Liquid nail and butterfly nail holds works well- all of the buildings we work on are framed with metal. Liquid nail and shoot your crown blocking every 16 to 20". Use your same guns on the same pressure and grab a few cases of liquid nails.

The 'Liquid Nails' cartridges say the adhesive stays flexible. I was thinking exterior type carpenters glue or polyurethane glue. In my youth we used 'recorsicol' but I can't seem to find a local supplier. Any help you can supply is greatly ...
