2022年8月4日 · Johto as a region is one of the worst in the series. It's just poor mans Kanto with terribly uninteresting pokemon, towns, areas and gyms for the most part. However, HG/SS are easily the Best games in the franchise imo.

Johto was just a solid region that not only gave us a new set of 100 pokemon, but added to the games. Also, how can you say the pokemon were forgettable when there were pokemon like Lugia, the 3 legendary dogs, Tyranitar, Steelix, Scissor, the addition of dark pokemon, espeon and umbreon, and many more?

Pokemon sequel 'rules' weren't really established at that point, and Johto itself is very closely tied to Kanto in terms of pokemon availability and the regions themselves being connected. 2022年3月5日 · I'm replaying HGSS and it really is weird just how Johto pokemon aren't easily aviable and filling the same niches compared to other games. People have explained why, but boy does it feel weird. My current team is Crocnaw, Togetic, Pidgeotto, Golem, Machamp, and Jolteon. My only non-Kanto pokemon are the story ones, all completely by chance.

I don't think they will ever do a Johto set like they did with Kanto and 151, but I'd still like to collect a full set of Johto cards for nostalgia. I'm finding it hard to work out which sets will contain all Johto pokemon to make a Pokedex. Does anyone know where I may find a list? Thanks

Johto had very slim pickings in terms of Pokemon to catch, but a few that spring to mind would be Mareep, Wooper, Sneasel and Misdreavus. Ash did eventually catch Aipom and Gligar, but that was only ever meant to show off the Sinnoh evolutions.

Battle Frontier, shared with Platinum, giving a solid endgame goal to work toward. A whole host of legendary Pokemon to discover thanks to inclusion of Kanto and Hoenn legends.
