Select the text in question and apply "None." 2) Shading, accessible from the main menu bar's Format > Borders and Shading, which can be applied to selected text or to the whole paragraph. 2019年10月18日 · The main difference is that the grey shows up on print preview. I've tried the suggested fixes - I can see no fields when I use Alt-F9. I have tried File-Options-Advanced-Show and turned filed shading to "Never". But still the grey is there, together with a grey box in the "No color" option of Highlighting. See screenshot.

The text had a grey background and there was no option of highlight back to a "no colour" of white. I resolved the problem by selecting the "grey" text and pressing CTRL and Space Bar.
