2018年6月29日 · I did a quick search, and the 3 car trailers I'm finding have a GVWR of 14K-18K lbs. If the GCVWR (C is combined, meaning trailer and truck) is more than 26k lbs, that puts it in Class A CDL needed. Heck, I was kinda mislead at the beginning. Curb weight does matter, but only if it's more that the weight rating.

I'm legal to drive the truck trailer combo without a cdl A, have my medical card and the funds to start rolling. He "guarantees" me $2 a mile for hauls over 500 and $3 a mile under 500.

I suggest you look into insurance first if you can get an idea what your fixed operating costs will be then you will have a good idea on what you need to make. The industry seems to be trying to convince car haulers 65k is a lot of money to haul cars, look at the crap rates.

At that time union car hauling jobs were hard to find as the big union companies were in decline. Plus, I didn't wanna drive the junk they offering.
