2023年12月4日 · Finally, if the title track is a cinematic and figurative "Band on the Run" - well, "Helen Wheels" is a more comedic and quite literal "band on the run" song. Both about bands in flight. And Sailor Sam (from Birmingham) shows up in both tunes. I always thought the song fit in quite well with the rest of the album!!

Referring to 18/19 October AIR sessions, its stated that the title track 'was still lacking vocals' and that at Kingsway (25/26 October) "Emerick and McCartney completed mixes of both sections of 'Band On The Run' , and edited them together'.

2023年12月4日 · I'm in for the 2CD set, love Band On The Run. I always hoped for a "complete sessions" set of the album and I guess the underdubbed mixes are as close as we might get. Of course I already have the 1993 remaster, the 1999 25th anniversary edition and the 2010 archive collection 3-disc special edition.
