The Classical Jazz Quartet’s “The Swingin’ Nut” or just their Christmas album that includes it is a really cool jazz album I wish more people knew about. It’s the nutcracker, but played like actual jazz, riffing on the themes. I don’t love the instrumentation but it’s a really fascinating album.

Much of that was instrumental, so "song" didn't fit well. In the past decade or so, hip-hop has exerted a larger influence across all genres of music (witness: trap hats in damn never every genre). That led to terms like "beat" being used for pieces of music that ended up never having rapping or eventually even vocals applied.
