2016年8月23日 · I know this is a two year old post, but i wanted to point out that a company has made a cnc plasma cutter that will cut half inch, comes with new laptop, stand, water tray and everything you need, including software for 2400$ this also includes the cutter. 2009年11月3日 · Our Thermal Dynamics and Hypertherm cutters recommend a cutting height of approximately .125" to .1875" for these amperages. This is set value number one for our line speed test. The Amperage is a matter of installing the correct tip into the torch head, and setting the amperage value on the face of the plasma cutter to match this tip, +/- 5%.

I want to setup a 2x2 table to run it on, strictly on a hobby and learning basis before I make a jump and commit to a bigger plasma and table. I can build the table and whatnot, so I am considering going with a used setup from torchmate, but I am concerned about the lack of torch height control.

They make good welders and cutters though not as popular as the blue or red boxes in the US. Over seas you see them in the hobby market/small shop market but its rare in the US. If it works, great.

So with this route and a 5x10 with a shittier cutter you'd be around $9k from these fools. So besides saving $2k and having a better cutter, I have electronics that are tried and true, tested and well supported.

2023年4月24日 · The table itself is $1800 new with the water table and XL kit. I'm asking $1000 for the Crossfire XL CNC table and $2500 for the Hypertherm Powermax 65 plasma cutter. You need both to run the system but some people prefer to use a cheaper plasma cutter. The Hypertherm is a hand torch with the CNC controls added to the machine.

2011年6月24日 · That's not really a fair comparison, but the JigSaw or Bandsaw for that matter will cut steel and AL with less clean-up than a plasma. If your cutting AL by hand with a plasma it's normally pretty messy unless your hand is a ton more stable than mine :laughing:
