2021年11月25日 · I find that playing with the Xbox Series S set to 4K produces a very blurry and low quality image when compared to the Xbox being set at 1080p with the TV doing the upscaling. Absolutely no difference in terms of input latency for me either

2021年2月5日 · I've had the Series S for about two weeks and I've been playing it on a Samsung 1440p 120hz 32" curved monitor and my friend's 4-year old 55" Samsung 4k TV. It looks great on both but, for example, Skyrim looks absolutely amazing on the 4k TV. Overall, the 4k upscaling gives the best video quality of the two screens, in my opinion.

2022年8月7日 · It's not terrible, it actually is still very enjoyable, but it's not gonna make your lower res content look like 1080p, 1440p, or 4K. Now, on the other hand, while the Series S is theoretically capable of 1440p 120hz, a 1080p monitor is already great to pair with it imo.
4K upscaling is available on every game, on the Series S. It is not ...
But why would the TV upscale when it’s the Xbox upscaling? If the Xbox is set to 1080p and is only sending a 1080p picture to the TV then sure. But the Xbox can be set to 4K in the settings and still run 1080p native games while sending an upscaled 4K picture to the TV.

2021年2月9日 · Series S doesn't do any actual upscaling to mask that it's running at a lower resolution. Doesn't matter what you set the output resolution to in the settings, games will still render at whatever resolution they're programmed for and stretched to your screen size - even Xbox One or 360 would do this, it's not upscaling.

2020年9月20日 · The Series X will have higher resolution textures to go with it's true 4k, meanwhile the Series S has lower res textures bumped up to 4k, meaning less detail. I think there was mention of including less visual effects overall for the Series S, too, to make sure the framerate stays within the promised range.

Was able to purchased an Xbox series s with 2 excellent condition/lightly used controllers (one standard and one elite 2 core with added back paddles), and 2 headsets for $200 used.
