Thousands of mowers across the United States and Canada are being recalled. Kawasaki said a problem with the mower's engine poses a safety threat to owners.

A recall of about 39,000 John Deere ZTrak zero-turn mowers with Kawasaki engines is underway in the U.S. The voltage regulators in the engines can fail and lead to overheating.
