At least five fires are burning across Los Angeles. Five people are dead so far and thousands are under evacuation orders.

Nearly 2,000 homes and businesses have been destroyed as winds of up to 100 mph have rapidly intensified the fires.

The Phoenix Valley's eastern high terrain could see wind gusts exceed 50 mph, according to the National Weather Service.
