Holograms have always felt like science fiction ... Its superior bandwidth will mean we can enjoy data-heavy VR and AR in high definition on our phones and tablets - something not possible ...

In line with this idea, we fabricated a display system using a high-definition liquid crystal panel as a hologram (Figure 3). Figure 4 shows an autostereoscopic image reproduced using this system.
