Boeing and its striking union machinists have reached a tentative deal that could end the work stoppage, which analysts say has been the most costly of 2024.
SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va.— Union Carbide Workers in South Charleston went on strike Monday to demand for higher wages after their previous contract ended Sunday, October 20.
Boeing, which has 3,000 nonunion employees in San Antonio, is planning to lay off 10% of its workforce and cutting production in response to the strike.
Voting in the 2024 presidential election begins Monday in Sedgwick County. The county will have three early voting centers open two weeks before Election Day, Nov. 5.
