Two people have died after a pickup truck crashed on the Arlington Memorial Bridge and plunged into the icy Potomac River during rush hour Thursday evening, authorities say.
Temperatures were still hovering in the single digits when the driver lost control on his semi on Highway 14 just outside Sterling, spun off the road, and landed in an irrigation ditch.
The tragic crash last week, where a truck plunged into the icy Potomac River, claimed the lives of twin brothers Jerel and Jerod Wert, according to their sister.
