The first group of tickets for Glastonbury Festival 2025 sold out in 30 minutes, organisers have confirmed. Festival-goers had to navigate a new booking process when the sale for coach travel tickets opened at 18:00 GMT on Thursday.

A number of Glastonbury fans were not best pleased after the first release of tickets sold out within half an hour. People have taken to social media to criticise the music festival over their new system for queueing, which many say is the reason why they couldn't get tickets.

The new system doesn't change the booking process itself but the way fans join it, as they are now "randomly assigned a place in a queue" instead of having to refresh the holding page in the hope of a ticket to the world-famous festival.
