Google's DeepMind has taken a giant leap forward in artificial intelligence with the launch of Genie 2, a model capable of generating playable 3D game worlds from simple text or image prompts.

Called a foundation world model, Genie 2 can generate an “endless variety of action-controllable, playable 3D environments for training and evaluating embodied agents,” said Google DeepMind.
