Google says its artificial intelligence chatbot Gemini will now deliver up-to-date news from The Associated Press in the tech giant’s first such deal with a news publisher.

The company today announced that it is partnering with The Associated Press (AP) to provide Gemini app users with fresh results. To catch you up, Google has long been working with The Associated Press to help users get up-to-date and accurate information through Google Search.

Google announced in a blog post that it is expanding its partnership with the news outlet to provide a “feed of real-time information” to the Gemini app. Going forward, Gemini will be able to reference AP’s stories when you ask about current events. “This will be particularly helpful to [Gemini app] users looking for up-to-date information.”
