Equipment and preparation: for this recipe you will need a 12-hole muffin tin and 8cm/3in fluted pastry cutter. Preheat the oven to 200C/180C Fan/Gas 6 and place a baking sheet inside to heat up.
Using a fluted pastry cutter, cut out 12 circles a little wider than the moulds in the tart tins. Press the circles gently into the moulds. Place a teaspoon of mincemeat into each pastry case.
