A new look at Sonic the Hedgehog 3 has been released ahead of the movie's December release and it puts the spotlight on Keanu Reeves (The Matrix) as the badass anti-hero, Shadow the Hedgehog. Check it out!

But it’s not evil for evil’s sake. Nor is Shadow really working for either Robotnik. His real goal is to avenge Maria Robotnik, who he was raised alongside on the orbital Space Colony ARK. While these events are expanded in later games, what we see in Sonic Adventure 2 through flashbacks are confusing and distressing.

Keanu Reeves didn’t just phone it in for his role as Shadow the Hedgehog in Sonic the Hedgehog 3. According to the film’s director Jeff Fowler, Reeves puts in a praise-worthy performance that elevates the classic Sonic villain.

Sonic X Shadow Generations has a bunch of returning enemies to face off in both of the titles. One of the fortunate ones is Shadow the Hedgehog, who now has his own game attached to Sonic Generations.

Originally released in 2011, Sonic Generations was designed to be a celebration of the series. It split the action between the classic 2D gameplay of the Genesis titles and the shakier 3D stylings of the later releases.
