The new Google Flights feature comes as October was found to be the best time to book travel for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Google Flights will build itineraries that include long layovers or mixed and matched flights from different travel agencies, airlines, and nearby cities in order to show you the absolute cheapest options. If you like what you see, it’ll direct you to the appropriate websites you’ll need to complete the booking.

To aggregate the cheapest options, Google Flights is expanding its flight offerings from third parties, such as online travel agents, and providing flight itineraries that may be less convenient, such as flights with longer layovers or booking different legs of the trip across different airlines or booking providers.

In a quote post on X posted by Raymond Hill, the developer who brought us the free ad blocker Chrome extension uBlock Origin, it appears that Google Chrome is turning off the ad blocker. "The deprecation of uBO in the Chrome Web Store has started," Hill posted.

The browser is doing so as part of Google's plan to phase out older Manifest V2 extensions to bolster Chrome's security. Still, some uBlock Origin users aren't happy about the change.
