Not too long ago, we told you about Big Lots and their plans to close 47 locations, adding to their ongoing list of 350+ locations closing. But as of last week (Oct. 11), you can add a whopping 56 more stores to the list of closures.

Embattled discount retailer Big Lots has marked more store locations for closure in 27 states. It plans to hold store closing sales.

Big Lots has around 1,400 stores nationwide. Locations impacted by the closure should reflect on Big Lots' website, saying, “CLOSING THIS LOCATION.” See the list of Ohio closures here: Final dates of operation for the closing locations have not been announced.

The Big Lots store located at the Machesney Town Center is one of 56 stores across 27 states that the retailer will shutter as part of its bankruptcy. The Ohio-based company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in September and has since set 500 of its stores to close.

New rounds of closures were announced in filings in September and October. The store announced 49 store closures on Sept. 20, another 58 closures on Sept. 27 and 46 more closures on Oct. 4. The Sept. 27 filing included the Sonora store at 1141 Sanguinetti Road and Roseville’s location at 10251 Fairway Drive.
